Reverse Metallurgy

Background The principle of the circular economy is based on the idea that industrial waste and end-of-life products can be recycled to become raw materials for another industry. The recovery of metal-containing waste in particular is strategic for the Walloon economy, in terms of supplying our industry with basic materials. It also represents a major potential for value creation, based on our long-standing experience in metallurgy. This is the background to the Reverse Metallurgy project. Potential The creation and development of new economic activities in the field of processing and recovery of metals from the circular economy. Realizing this potential depends on - Developing and mastering complete metal recycling processes, - Mastery of key treatment technologies and processes, - Innovation and industrialization.
