Event details
The Wool Collection 2026 will take place from 29 August to 10 September across three collection sites located in Étalle, Botrange and Couvin, in Wallonia. The initiative is led by Woolconcept and Valbiom in partnership with several regional stakeholders involved in local resource valorisation. Its objective is to enable farmers to better valorise their wool within a structured, local and circular value chain. Depending on its quality, the collected wool is directed towards various applications, including natural insulation materials, mulching felts, and textile or bedding products. This initiative contributes to the development of sustainable solutions and the creation of added value in Wallonia, while improving the management of livestock-derived resources. It also relies on careful wool sorting and a well-organised logistics process, with prior registration required for participation.
