ReTreeve
RobinWood will develop the "ReTreeve", a solid multi-species wood panel made from trees felled for maintenance or safety reasons (along roads, railways, etc.). A beautiful valorization of resources that are usually shredded and then burned, which will be transformed into lumber for the construction and furniture sectors (doors, stairs, furniture…).

About
RobinWood's main mission is the recovery and valorization of waste trees present on Walloon soil (roadside, railway lines, industrial wastelands, etc.). Initially, RobinWood focused in its phase 1 on one particular species: the Black Locust, mainly to produce decking boards and cladding. The deposits from which these waste trees are recovered are primarily spontaneous growth areas. During logging operations, there are not only Black Locusts, but also many other species (alder, poplar, cherry, ash, birch, ...). These species cannot be used for outdoor woodworking like Black Locust, but can be very well used for indoor carpentry. This is the reason for the development of the ReTreeve project: to recover all the cut species to valorize them.
