About
The project involves the reconception of a hairbrush specifically targeted at professional hairdressers, aiming to integrate principles of circular economy and sustainability. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact by utilizing eco-friendly materials and ensuring that the product is designed for longevity and ease of recycling.
Through the Circular Wallonia Innovation Path 2022, the design team will collaborate with professionals in the industry to address key aspects such as material selection, ergonomic design, and modularity. The new design will focus on:
Sustainable Materials : Use of biodegradable or recyclable components (e.g., bamboo, bioplastics) to minimize plastic waste.
Modular Design : The brush will feature replaceable parts, allowing users to replace worn-out components (e.g., bristles) instead of discarding the entire product.
Ergonomic and Efficient : Enhanced comfort for prolonged professional use, combined with optimized brushing performance.
End-of-life Considerations : Ensuring that the brush is easy to disassemble and recycle at the end of its life cycle.
This project supports the transition towards a circular economy by fostering eco-design practices that align with the values of sustainability and functionality for professional hairstylists.
