This call for projects supports low-carbon and energy-efficiency investments undertaken by Walloon industrial companies participating in the Carbon Agreements framework. Its objective is to accelerate the transition of Walloon industry by enabling projects that deliver significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and/or energy consumption.
The scheme combines grants and preferential-rate loans to support technically mature projects that are included in participating companies’ action plans. Supported initiatives must contribute to improved environmental performance through measures such as enhanced energy efficiency, process optimisation and more efficient use of resources. In this context, projects incorporating circularity principles may also help reduce carbon impacts and support the transition towards a more circular economy.
Projects are assessed based on their maturity, feasibility and environmental effectiveness, taking into account expected CO₂ emission reductions and energy savings.
