About

Following a promising first edition launched in March 2026, Boost4Circularity is back for a second edition! The momentum is already building: 7 winning projects were selected during the first edition and are currently beginning their strategic support alongside Circular Wallonia. This is a concrete first step to accelerate the circular transformation of Walloon industrial sectors.

Today, new project leaders have the opportunity to benefit from this support.

What is Boost4Circularity?
Boost4Circularity is a support mechanism designed to facilitate the implementation of structuring industrial projects that contribute to the circular economy.

The call for proposals targets large-scale projects capable of sustainably transforming a sector or region: supply, processing, logistics, uses, and end-of-life. Projects that strengthen industrial circularity by creating or consolidating key links (material preparation, reconditioning, regeneration, pooling of flows, secondary material hubs, etc.) or by improving the overall performance and resilience of a sector are eligible.

The project, with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 5 or higher, must fall within at least one of the priority sectors of Circular Wallonia 2.0: Metals and critical materials, chemicals, construction, and agri-food/bio-based/water. Textile-related projects are also eligible provided they explicitly fall within one of the four priority sectors.

Why apply?
The selected projects will benefit from an analysis of their needs by the Circular Wallonia 2.0 Coordination Unit in order to guide each project leader to the appropriate Walloon schemes (support, training, R&D&I, internationalization, digital, etc.). This approach does not constitute a direct funding mechanism.

Based on this analysis, the Unit will set up a support mechanism by connecting project leaders with relevant contact points to help them overcome obstacles related to project implementation.

Who can apply?
Find all the information about the call for proposals here.

Interested? Complete the online form in "My Account" by October 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the latest.

Is your project not quite ready yet? Don't worry, a third call for proposals will be launched in 2027.

This call for proposals, launched by the SPW Economy, Employment, and Research, is part of the Circular Wallonia 2.0 strategy (2025-2029), adopted by the Walloon Government to accelerate the circular transition of industrial sectors and strengthen regional strategic autonomy.
