AD-CORSSI
The aim of the project is, through the development of a specific application (the production of an industrial speed retarder), to improve the thermosetting plastic revalorization process in order to reach new markets with higher added value, which will enable Reprocover to remain the leader in this sector.

About
Upcycling of Composites in Speed Bumps with Digital Twin Integration
As part of the AD-CORSSI initiative, Reprocover is committed to transforming thermoset composite waste into high-value products, particularly durable speed bumps designed for heavy vehicles. These speed bumps meet the needs of sustainable infrastructure while enhancing secondary raw materials from recycling.
An innovative composite material: made of thermoset waste particles bound by a recycled resin, it allows:
reducing dependency on virgin raw materials,
ensuring high mechanical performance, suitable for heavy loads and harsh conditions.
Digital twin integration, The use of a digital twin allows for:
better process control,
performance optimization of speed bumps,
the development of customized solutions for specific infrastructures.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): A sustainability analysis conducted by the University of Liège ensures that the entire process aligns with environmental impact reduction goals.
A scalable model for other industries: This approach could serve as a benchmark for demanding sectors such as:
energy,
defense,
aerospace.
Thus, upcycled composites demonstrate their ability to compete with traditional materials while lowering the ecological footprint.
