Sedisol

Sedisol is a mineral waste treatment centre originally established to address the management of sediments resulting from dredging activities on Wallonia’s waterways. Over the years, the company has expanded its scope to provide solutions for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of various mineral waste streams.

Its activities include the management of dredging and maintenance sludge, street-cleaning sludge, industrial sludge and soils. Sedisol carries out dewatering, pre-treatment, characterisation and treatment operations to direct materials towards the most appropriate pathway, whether recovery or dedicated treatment.

The company operates specialised infrastructure, including dewatering lagoons, storage areas and treatment facilities. It uses processes designed to stabilise, decontaminate and prepare materials for reuse whenever possible.

Through these activities, Sedisol supports material recycling and circularity, helps reduce landfill disposal and contributes to the sustainability of inland waterways, in line with broader sustainable development objectives.
