RobinWood
RobinWood recovers waste trees from roadsides and transforms them into planks for the construction, furniture and garden sectors.
About
RobinWood was created to promote the local use of black locust (robinia), a naturally durable and rot-resistant wood. The project aims to establish a regional supply chain in Wallonia to transform this resource into outdoor construction materials (decking, cladding, fencing), reducing reliance on imports and lowering carbon emissions. RobinWood works through partnerships with landowners and local sawmills to ensure responsible processing. The approach is fully circular: production residues are reused to create accessories and secondary products, supporting a zero-waste objective. This initiative strengthens short supply chains, supports the local economy, and valorizes a resource that was previously underused.
