Pol LAURENT S.R.L. Moaistone

Pol Laurent SRL is a family-owned company founded in 1946. Initially, the company’s main activity was national and international transport. In response to the growing demand for construction materials in the post-war years, Pol Laurent quickly pivoted to focus on the reclamation of red shale spoil heaps. With a strong commitment to environmental protection and adherence to regulations, the company successfully rehabilitated and transformed seven spoil heaps in the Mons region.

Over the years, Pol Laurent expanded its offerings in sands and gravel. In 2001, leveraging its extensive experience in aggregates, the company took a new direction in the ornamental stone sector under the name Moaistone, which has since gained significant expertise in decorative minerals.

In September 2023, the Liénart family took over Pol Laurent with the goal of expanding its offerings and continuing the company’s development while maintaining the core values of Moaistone. To better serve its customers, in December 2023, Pol Laurent acquired Hergo Bétons, a company specializing in the distribution of concrete fences (since 1959). In May 2024, to further streamline its supply chain and enhance customer satisfaction, Pol Laurent will also acquire Trans Mons, a transportation company.
