Cortibel is a Social Purpose Cooperative (SC), part of the social economy group Cortigroupe, which acquires and renovates real estate properties to provide mainly housing, but also office spaces, to Social Economy Enterprises (SEE) or Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs). Cortibel works with integration companies, such as Cortibat, and other social-purpose enterprises for the renovation of its real estate portfolio.The goals of Cortibel are:

• Ensure the right to housing for the most disadvantaged, providing quality housing as a fundamental right for all.

• Support the social economy sector by assigning renovation projects to them.

• Renovate buildings in the province of Liège with energy performance requirements of very low energy (E W45 and K≤30).

• Support APL in their mission to provide decent housing.

Due to challenges in completing small tasks in its buildings, such as unblocking sinks, fixing switches, or cleaning walls between tenants, Cortibel plans to hire workers on TD or TGD contracts, who will work not only for Cortibel but also for other real estate cooperatives facing similar issues. This approach will enable Cortibel to hire more workers, particularly under TD and TGD statuses, to meet growing demand while fulfilling its social mission of providing employment. Additionally, renovation projects and energy performance requirements will help strengthen the workers' skills and improve their chances of integration into the traditional job market.
