Made in Chimay Market, QEC 2023

During this second edition of the event, Chimay Promotion asbl wishes to highlight the idea that the circular economy also concerns culture, the leisure sector and the creative arts. The event will bring together and present concrete examples of how the circular economy can be put into practice, as well as showcasing creative citizen initiatives.

The program will showcase the talents and know-how of craftspeople, artists and producers (sales stands, demonstrations, entertainment). Some of the most ingenious craftspeople will be showcased: cyclo-mobile rope-making, ecological painting, recuperation art, repair cafés, etc.

Children's "recuperation" activities will be set up and supervised: "repair your toys" to recreate new ones, .... From a simple piece of wood, a beer cap, a piece of Lego, a broken car, it's possible to recreate new toys and figurines, which boost children's imagination.

Event agency La Caravane Passe will also be on hand around the VW Chimay Van, to demonstrate how to give a second life to disused caravans and trailers.

Finally, a solidarity barter/donation area will be set up in the surrounding streets, coupled with an Abécédaire de la Récup in 2 small downtown streets.
