Wallonia's geothermal and heat network sector is booming: 34 new shallow geothermal projects were selected in December 2022, and other calls for tenders will be launched shortly. Walloon skills and expertise are in great demand.

Event details
On November 7, the TWEED Cluster, in collaboration with SPW Energie and in the presence of the Minister of Energy, will be setting the scene for emerging models and objectifying market prospects.
The event will also provide an opportunity to present Wallonia's ambitions for the development of geothermal energy and heat networks, and to discuss the regulations currently in force (and being defined) in this field. The geothermal call for projects will be presented, as well as the results of the geophysical campaign (characterization of the Walloon soil, return from the DGE-ROLLOUT project).
