An inspiring afternoon centered around three highlights: the presentation of concrete results from the Waloval project dedicated to the valorizations of food by-products, a collaborative workshop to identify opportunities for pooling resources among stakeholders, and a compelling conference by Arthur Keller on food security and territorial resilience.
Responses to the challenges of valorizing food by-products through new value chains: Results of the Waloval project
Initiated in 2023, Waloval, coordinated by Wagralim as part of Circular Wallonia, aims to valorize four Walloon agri-food by-products (wheat bran, brewery spent grain, rapeseed cake, fruit pomace). It aims to demonstrate the industrial feasibility of a shared tool for stabilizing and transforming these materials. The project was based on technical, regulatory, and market studies conducted with several partners. Discover the results of this project that concludes in September 2025. Waloval is a project initiated under the Circular Wallonia strategy and coordinated by the Wagralim cluster.
