Presentation of the various circular economy strategies/loops for creating or preserving value, and ways of identifying, collecting and exploiting the data needed to support them.
Circular economy is based on a systemic approach to the entire life cycle and value chain. It notably involves products and materials retaining their value for as long as possible, minimizing resource (material and energy) use and waste generation, and ensuring that when a product reaches the end of its life, the resources it comprises are kept within the economic cycle to be used again and again to preserve or even recreate value.
Circular economy, therefore, aims to create or preserve value, which can take various forms.
Whether through circular design and production strategies, optimizing product efficiency and use (extending its lifespan and intensifying usage), or valorization (reuse, remanufacturing, recycling, etc.), the key is to have a holistic view of the product cycle or even the value chain. To achieve this, it's crucial to ask the right questions and identify who can provide answers; these responses/information, once identified/collected/exploited, will then become data that will enable you to learn more about your product, its use, and its end of life, and to choose your circular action levers.
During this webinar, various circular loops/strategies will be presented, along with the questions to ask in order to identify the necessary data and means of obtaining them.
This webinar will be conducted as part of the CE4.0SMEs project supported by Circular Wallonia and the Industry of the Future Program of Digital Wallonia.
