The Pôle MecaTech is offering the CIRCO Design Class, run by Wallonie Design. This one-day training session on the CIRCO method and tools will enable you to apply them directly to one of your own products or development projects.
In the morning, you will take a practical look at your value chain to identify new opportunities for creating value through the circular economy.
In the afternoon, you will explore design strategies that promote sustainability, repair, reuse and refurbishment, as well as service-based models and innovative business models that extend the lifespan of products.
The aim of this CIRCO Design Class is to equip industrial designers, product development managers and innovation professionals who wish to integrate the principles of the circular economy into their projects. Developed by TU Delft, this method enables products and business models to be rethought in order to keep resources in circulation and preserve the value of products for as long as possible.
This one-day workshop will help you to:
Broaden your understanding and knowledge of the circular economy, particularly the related business models and design strategies.
Discover your role in the circular economy and gain a better understanding of where your areas for action lie within a company’s value chain.
Develop your skills using new tools and methods.
Practical information
Who is it for? Industrial/product designers and product managers (places limited to 8 participants). Priority sectors: manufacturing industries (metal, batteries, transport).
Registration: Registration for this workshop is free but compulsory. Please complete the registration form by 25 June 2026, after which we will confirm whether or not your registration has been accepted. In the meantime, please make a note of the date in your diary.
