  • Introduction [Manuel Mengoni, Attaché Circular Wallonia to the Cabinet of Minister Willy Borsus]

  • Industrial symbioses in Quebec - [Presentation by Jennifer Pinna, Circular Economy Advisor at the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle (CTTÉI) and Melissa Stoia, Coordinator at Synergie Montréal]

Quebec invites itself to Wallonia for a conference where you can discover the circular economy in action!

Synergie Québec is a community of practice whose mission is to contribute to this essential "industrial and social" transition. 22 symbioses, 60 professionals and facilitators in the field, hundreds of organizations involved and transformed.

How does it work? What benefits have been measured? Find out from one of the network's leading members. Supported by an economic development organization, Synergie Montréal is rolling out this innovative business model across the metropolis!

With over 25 years' experience between them, the daring managers behind these initiatives share their feedback and vision for the future of the circular economy in Quebec.

Synergie Québec is spearheaded by the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle, which has made it a key area of applied research.

  • Wallonia, active in the development of industrial symbioses - [Presentation of pilot cases by two industrial symbiosis facilitators: Laura Moretti (BEP) and Quentin Deplus (IDEA)].

As Regional Development Agencies, BEP and IDEA are convinced of the circular economy potential of the business parks they manage.

As part of the regional Circular Wallonia strategy, the two organizations aim to play a pioneering role in the creation of industrial symbioses that can improve the economic and environmental performance of companies in the two territories where they operate, Namur and the Cœur du Hainaut, while ensuring their local roots and a better brand image. BEP and IDEA will be presenting the state of progress of their industrial symbiosis initiatives and initial synergies, respectively.
