About
Reframat_INISMa
This project is committed to reducing the carbon footprint of refractory concretes by exploring alternatives to traditional cementitious binders, often associated with high CO2 emissions. By using more environmentally-friendly colloidal binders, it seeks to improve the durability of materials while reducing their environmental impact. In addition, by adopting microwave technology for drying parts, it aims to increase the energy efficiency of the manufacturing process, contributing to more sustainable and efficient production.
Reframat_UMONS
This project focuses on accelerating the development of new refractory materials using advanced characterization techniques such as LIBS spectroscopy. By rapidly studying the composition and microstructure of materials, it provides a better understanding of their in-service behavior. In addition, by integrating artificial intelligence methods, it seeks to predict material performance and optimize manufacturing processes, thereby reducing development times and associated costs.
Reframat_MULTITEL
This project aims to improve the drying process for refractory concrete parts by adopting microwave technology. By replacing conventional drying methods with microwaves, it aims to reduce energy consumption and improve process efficiency. By using innovative fiber-optic sensors to monitor the drying process in real time, it ensures optimum quality of the final parts, while reducing production costs. This project thus contributes to strengthening industrial competitiveness while supporting environmental sustainability objectives.
