About
The headquarters office building of Galère no longer meets current standards for space, comfort, and energy performance. A comprehensive transformation is planned: part of the existing structure will be preserved, while another section will be deconstructed to allow the construction of a new office building. As part of its QSEÉ commitment, Galère—acting as both general contractor and private project owner—has chosen to incorporate circular economy principles. The design of the new building and the future refurbishment of the preserved section have been entrusted to the Sart-Tilman Architecture Studio. A pre-demolition inventory has been completed, and selective deconstruction will be carried out by a social enterprise such as Retrival or Retritech. The project includes both on-site and off-site material reuse. This initiative is the result of close collaboration between Galère and the Sart-Tilman Architecture Studio.
