Boost4Circularity: accelerate your circular industrial projects
Wallonia is launching today the first edition of the Boost4Circularity call, a new support scheme aimed at supporting the implementation of structuring industrial projects serving the circular economy.
About
The call targets large-scale projects capable of sustainably transforming a sector or a territory: supply, processing, logistics, use, and end of life. Projects aimed at strengthening industrial circularity by creating or consolidating key links (material preparation, refurbishing, regeneration, flow pooling, secondary material hubs, etc.), or by improving the overall performance and resilience of a sector, are encouraged.
The project, with a technology readiness level (TRL) of 5 or higher, must fall within at least one of the priority sectors of Circular Wallonia 2.0: Metals and critical materials, chemistry, construction, agri-food/biobased/water.
Is your project not yet mature? No worries, a second edition of the call will be launched in the second half of 2026.
Why apply?
The selected projects will benefit from an analysis of their needs by the Circular Wallonia 2.0 Coordination Unit in order to guide each project leader to the appropriate Walloon schemes (support, training, R&D&I, internationalization, digital, etc.). This approach does not constitute a direct funding mechanism.
Based on this analysis, the Unit will set up a support mechanism by connecting project leaders with relevant contact points to help them overcome obstacles related to project implementation.
Who can apply?
The call is intended for:
- A company presenting a project alone
- OR A consortium, led by a company, which can partner with different types of partners: companies, non-profits, research centers, public actors... Partners can be located outside Wallonia.
The company leading the project must have an operational headquarters in Wallonia.
