Through its B Foodtruck project, L&L Impact does more than just operate a fleet of ecologically responsible foodtrucks. The company also acts as an events agency, specialising in the organisation of large-scale events for over 1,000 people. Their mission: to reinvent fast food and the events of tomorrow through an ambitious circular approach.

This article is part of a series dedicated to exploring the journeys of the winners of Go Circular 2. In this series, we highlight the inspiring initiatives of these winners. One of them, L&L impact, which is in the “starter” category, is developing a model based on the local recovery and reuse of natural resources. A concrete response to a structural problem in the events sector Aware of the environmental impact of the sector, they are committed to drastically reducing waste by replacing all disposable containers, cutlery and cups with reusable and washable alternatives.
Traditional events and foodtrucks generate a lot of waste, mainly because of the widespread use of single-use containers and packaging. This is the issue that B Foodtruck has chosen to focus its business model on.
With a fleet of four foodtrucks (soon to be five), B Foodtruck offers a complete range of events, including catering, entertainment, logistics and environmental awareness-raising. Each event is organised according to a zero waste logic: plates, glasses and utensils are reusable and washed in their own facilities before being put back into circulation. The aim is to create a controlled circular loop.
A circular and local vision of gastronomic events B Foodtruck's commitment is not limited to reducing waste. The company relies on a local and sustainable supply chain: the recipes are prepared with Belgian and Luxembourg ingredients that are in season and often organic, encouraging short circuits and supporting local producers. Each menu is designed to limit food waste, and any surplus is redistributed to local charities, reinforcing the positive impact of each event.
Eco-responsible events incorporating awareness-raising activities In addition to catering, B Foodtruck organises events incorporating awareness-raising workshops on eco-responsibility. These events inform and actively involve participants in themes such as waste reduction, zero plastic, sustainable food and responsible consumption. Whether for institutional audiences, businesses or large open events, the company is demonstrating that large-scale organisations can put in place practices designed to reduce their impact.

Innovative logistics to limit the carbon footprint To limit the energy impact of its activities, B Foodtruck has invested in a number of practical solutions. In particular, the company has acquired low-consumption cold rooms to reduce energy losses during events. It has also replaced its thermal generators with electric generators powered by photovoltaic panels. Finally, a tree-planting initiative has been launched to offset emissions linked to travel.
An ambitious and responsible business model Although the cost of reusable products is significantly higher than disposable ones, B Foodtruck has chosen to place environmental impact at the heart of its strategy. Although this model is more demanding financially, it appeals to customers who are keen to consume responsibly. The success of B Foodtruck proves that it is possible to reconcile profitability, gastronomic quality and respect for the environment. This innovative approach is all the more relevant as the new European Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) comes into force, strongly encouraging the reduction of single-use packaging. Founded in 2021, B Foodtruck currently has four foodtrucks and plans to add a fifth in the near future. Far from limiting itself to a catering service, the company is demonstrating its ability to design tailor-made event experiences, incorporating a positive impact dimension.
