Founded in 2004, La Ressourcerie Le Carré ASBL, active in the field of socio-professional reintegration, has continuously expanded its territorial coverage and areas of activity.

After 17 years of existence, we are proud to have become one of the key players in the second-hand goods market in Wallonie Picarde. Our four stores allow approximately 350,000 residents of the region to find a sustainable, social, and ecological alternative to discarding items they no longer need, while also giving them access to second-hand goods at reduced prices.

Your donations also contribute to the creation of sustainable jobs (54 permanent contracts currently in place) and provide reintegration opportunities in partnership with several CPAS for people who are far from employment. Individuals serving alternative sentences (both minors and adults) also regularly strengthen our teams.

With two bicycle repair workshops created as part of an SNCB project (at Tournai and Ath stations), as well as a central revalorization workshop and a pre-training program for cycle-related professions, La Véloterie offers repair services to commuters at these stations and a wide range of certified refurbished bicycles, available in Véloteries and Ressourceries. Bike rental services are also available.

With Le Stoemp Tournai, our ASBL is now actively promoting healthy eating, highlighting local products. The menus are renewed according to product availability and our chef’s creativity, ensuring seasonal, fresh, and high-quality dishes. It is also an excellent opportunity for people in reintegration programs to discover the thriving Horeca sector under the best possible conditions. To encourage cultural exchange, monthly art exhibitions are held at the venue. Additionally, French as a Foreign Language (FLE) discussion tables will soon be available on Mondays.

Striving to provide the most comprehensive alternative consumption services possible, we naturally expanded our services at the end of 2022 by offering a credible alternative to the DIY sector. Our Matériauthèque, covering over 800m² of stock, provides a complete range of construction materials, from structural components (wood, bricks, tiles…) to interior fittings and finishes (joinery, sanitary, hardware…). You will also find a wide selection of tiles, tools, and ironwork elements, all second-hand but with a commitment to optimal quality at affordable prices.
