This visit will immerse you in the heart of the wood-fired district heating network of the municipality of Libin, which has been in operation since 2008 following a pre-feasibility study carried out in 2003.
This project, a pioneer at the time for a rural Walloon municipality, perfectly illustrates how a forest-based community can leverage its local resources to meet its energy needs while reducing its environmental footprint.
