Greenwin is a key player in catalyzing collaborative innovation projects. Its goal is to create unlikely encounters, bringing together different perspectives on priority issues to spark new ideas and approaches. But what does this really mean?
Greenwin is an association that helps generate new ideas by bringing together people from various fields to collaborate. It’s a place where individuals, who might not have met otherwise, come together to invent innovative solutions to solve important problems. Now, Greenwin wants to go even further with the Home Sapiens project, a unique challenge that brings together innovative Walloon companies and higher education students to create groundbreaking ideas for future living spaces. This project is designed as an annual challenge (at least two years), inviting students to lead the way in innovation.

The world of tomorrow presents significant challenges: climate change, an aging population, and growing societal demands. The habitat of the future must adapt to these challenges. Today, you are a student, but tomorrow, you will be at the heart of our society. The Home Sapiens project invites you to reflect on how you envision future living spaces. How can we adapt to climate change? How can we design homes that address future environmental, technological, and social needs? You are the generation best placed to imagine these solutions, and as construction professionals, Greenwin is the ideal partner to support you in developing your vision for future habitats.
The Home Sapiens Challenge
The Home Sapiens challenge invites you to create your "future-proof habitat": a home that is resilient to extreme climate change, adaptable, and sustainable. Your solution must be flexible enough to meet future needs, whether environmental, technological, or social. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone on this journey! You will be part of a multidisciplinary team composed of students with diverse backgrounds. Together, you will generate innovative ideas by sharing your perspectives and expertise.
Additionally, a mentor will be by your side throughout the challenge, providing guidance and support. But that's not all! Partnering companies will actively participate in the event: they will present specific challenges and listen to your pitches, providing valuable feedback to help refine your project. This challenge is a true team effort, supported by professionals eager to offer their expertise and help turn your ideas into concrete solutions.
Evaluation
Your project will be assessed based on various criteria. But don't worry, all the evaluation criteria will be disclosed in advance so you can properly prepare. You will need to demonstrate that your solution is both innovative and sustainable, capable of meeting the challenges of tomorrow. Most importantly, you’ll need to be creative and realistic in proposing practical, real-world solutions.
