Event details

As part of the Walloon Waste-Resources Plan, the Soil and Waste Department (DSD) of SPW-Environment is organizing two study days to apply best practices in waste management and reuse in the construction sector.

Whether you're an architect, contractor, engineer or sustainability/circularity enthusiast, these two days offer you a platform to meet, learn and contribute to the necessary ecological transition.

The program includes conferences, workshops, an exhibition and stands.

October 3 focuses on sorting and recycling in construction.

October 4 focuses on reuse in construction.

The morning sessions will feature plenary speakers. In the afternoon, you can choose to continue with a plenary session or take part in a workshop.

Programme complet

Workshop 1 on Day 1 "Massification of waste collection through the creation of logistics platforms" is by invitation only.

GreenWin is organizing a workshop devoted to the massification of the recovery of small quantities of (de)construction site waste to ensure optimized management and recovery, as part of the "En route vers le zéro déchet dans la Construction" event organized by the SPW, on October 3 and 4.

We have identified a number of companies likely to be interested in this topic: yours is one of them.

By taking part in this collaborative brainstorming session, carefully selected players in the sector will be able to share their expertise, solutions, best practices and feedback on the choice of materials and processes. Their reflections and sharing of information will contribute to the establishment of efficient, shared logistics hubs, capable of ensuring increased supply of new materials to recycling and reuse centers.

The aim is to initiate concrete achievements and collaborations between different waste processing sectors, with a view to expanding the supply of secondary resources and reducing landfill and incineration.

The workshop will be led by professionals and aims to answer 4 key questions:

  • Where to locate these hubs and how to distribute them: by material? by geographical area?

  • What would be the administrative procedures and constraints?

  • How can all links in the value chain be involved, from manufacturers to recyclers and (de)construction companies?

  • How can costs be shared between the links in the value chain, so that the approach is profitable for all?
