Inspiring international examples to inform and stimulate our Walloon talent!
In recent years, a number of regional projects have sought to stimulate the plant extraction sector in Wallonia. Valbiom is taking an active part, currently developing two extraction projects linked to agro-forestry by-products: ExtraHempWal (valorization of the flowering tops of long-fibre textile hemp) and ExtraForWal (valorization of bark from the forestry industry).
Elsewhere, plant extraction is booming and several methods are being used. On June 14, 2023, Valbiom invites you to take part in a "Midi de la Biomasse" (Biomass Lunchtime) showcasing inspiring examples from outside France. High-quality speakers and different extraction methods are on the program. Indeed, there are many application sectors for plant extraction: cosmetics, nutraceuticals, animal and human food, biocontrol products... The aim is to stimulate the Walloon extraction sector!
