Event details

The annual event for the Strategic Innovation Domain related to Circular Materials (DIS1) on October 11 will be organized around three thematic workshops, each lasting 2 hours, led by experts and facilitated by the Strategic Innovation Initiatives (IIS) WIN4C and Valbowal, along with the GreenWin, Mecatech, LiW, and Skywin competitiveness clusters. WIN4C: This IIS aims to network all actors in the circular economy of technological materials (focusing on three areas: metals/batteries, mineral materials, and polymers/plastics) to establish Wallonia as the Circular Material Valley at the heart of Europe by 2030.

Valbowal: The goal of this IIS is to propose various ways to increase the added value of the Walloon wood sector, while enhancing its resilience and contribution to combating climate change. The event will focus on various problems/challenges previously identified for the IIS WIN4C and Valbowal, across each of the three cross-cutting themes. The output of these workshops will be the identification of opportunities for the development of collaborative RDI projects. The three addressed themes are: - Digital Passport for Circular Materials - Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Circular Materials - Traceability and Logistics of Circular Materials The event is open to partners of the DIS1 IIS (WIN4C and Valbowal) and to any individual/entity interested in the themes covered by DIS1 (the Strategic Innovation Domain for Circular Materials) and potentially playing an active role (and ideally becoming a partner of one of the IIS). The goal is to identify opportunities for setting up collaborative projects in the field of circular materials, particularly aimed at companies, universities/higher education institutions, and research centers. **Practical information** Accessibility: - Bus stop (from the train station) in the immediate vicinity of Bluepoint - Accessibility for people with reduced mobility
