Eutopean Week for Waste Reduction

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is an initiative aimed at promoting awareness-raising actions on sustainable resource and waste management. It takes place every year in November, usually during the penultimate or last week of the month.

Driven by local and regional public authorities, a wide range of stakeholders – including citizens, schools, businesses, NGOs, and associations – join forces to organize activities that encourage waste reduction.

The uniqueness of the EWWR lies in the collective efforts and commitment of thousands of volunteers who spread messages about sustainable consumption and the circular economy within their communities.
