Valocell
The project aims to establish a complete system for the collection, sorting, and recovery of "material" from cellular concrete masonry blocks. The project has a dual purpose: to recycle cellular concrete and to prevent it from ending up in other streams (notably the recycled aggregate production stream) where it has a disruptive effect.

About
The project aims to develop a complete system for the collection, sorting, and recovery of the "material" from cellular concrete masonry blocks found in bulky non-incinerable waste from the construction sector.
By isolating them from deconstruction flows such as rubble and plasterboard, these blocks will, after treatment and functionalization, be "upcycled" into value-added concrete formulations.
COGETRINA LOGISTICS will work on the collection and sorting chain, the CTP Research Center will study and develop the treatment and functionalization processes for cellular blocks, and BBE will test the new formulations of concrete and/or binders that will be developed on an industrial scale.
The targeted sectors are those of deconstruction and/or demolition of industrial or residential buildings.
