Terra Nostra Wallonia
For 20 years, Espace Chassart has been producing substrate blends, consisting of approximately 60% local recycled materials, including soil and organic waste. The company aims to expand its activity by introducing new blends specifically designed for Walloon soils, allowing for more waste valorization and enhancing soil quality through local synergy.

About
This project was born from the lack of outlets for soil waste, combined with an unmet demand for high-quality biological substrates.
The innovation lies in:
Incorporating compost derived from its own green waste, in partnership with its processors, following a circular model.
Creating new natural formulas, specifically tailored to the characteristics of Walloon soils.
This project contributes to industrial symbiosis, promoting sustainable sourcing and optimizing the end-of-life of soil waste by restoring its full biological potential.
It is also part of an eco-design approach, through:
Innovative formulations,
Sustainable distribution methods (bulk sales or refundable big bags instead of traditional sacks).
The techniques are already mastered, as are the production tools and required expertise (TRL 7 or 8). Moreover, the market is well-known and already established, facilitating the project's implementation.
