Résidence "La Maison"
The project involves dismantling an office pavilion with a wooden frame located in Mouscron. This pavilion will be transported and reassembled in Marchin to create artist residences. All disassembled elements will be reused in their original functions. A partnership has been established between the architect, the client, and the Municipality of Marchin.

About
The first phase of the Cirque is complete in Marchin, providing artists programmed at Latitude 50, the circus and street arts center, with a new performance space. The second and third phases of construction, which will include artist accommodation and a reception area over 2700 m² of buildings and 5000 m² of land, will be dedicated to training. In a continuous effort to respect environmental concerns, the opportunity for an accommodation module has arisen.
The Vanneste Motors offices in Mouscron, built in wood 15 years ago, will be dismantled piece by piece and reconstructed in Marchin into a 150 m² artist residence with 4 rooms to accommodate 4 to 8 people. This project aligns with the values of the Marchin infrastructure, including recovery and the principle of waste reduction, continuing the original dynamic of the circus in a permanent form.
This project of dismantling and complete reconstruction aims to promote the reuse of materials in the construction sector in Wallonia. It has evolved in terms of functions and energy performance from Mouscron in 2006 to Marchin in 2023, and we must now source materials, primarily from reuse subsidiaries or from overstock, to cover the missing material needs.
