About
Founded in 1985, Les Ateliers du Monceau, parent company of Les Ateliers de l’Avenir, continues its mission of integrating deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals through its core activity of pallet repair. The project aims to establish a sorting and dismantling line to incorporate reclaimed wood into the repair process and recover pallets considered waste by other companies. This initiative promotes circular economy principles by reducing virgin wood use and converting scraps into wood chips for heating or raw material for insulation. It helps lower costs, create non-relocatable jobs, and foster local partnerships, while strengthening resilience against raw material market fluctuations.
