The Interreg Meuse‑Rhine programme supports cross-border initiatives (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany) addressing five key societal challenges:
Industrial transition (Industry 4.0, innovation, skills)
Green transformation (renewable energy, climate adaptation, circular economy)
Public health (innovative and accessible healthcare services)
Quality tourism (leveraging heritage and resident well-being)
Seamless cross-border living/working (removing barriers).
The fifth call, opened on 1 July 2025, offers EU co‑funding of up to 60 % of eligible costs. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until 1 July 2026, with five key cut-off dates (September, November, January, April, July). Stage 1 submissions may be in English only or in three programme languages (French, Dutch, German). The call aims to foster innovative, cooperative solutions with tangible regional impact.
