About
European Circular Innovation Valley (ECIV) is an ambitious initiative funded by the Horizon Europe program (2024–2029) to create Europe’s largest circular economy innovation ecosystem. Spanning 17 regions in 8 countries with 19 partners, ECIV follows a collaborative, mission-oriented approach.
Key features include:
Developing mission-oriented plans tailored to each region’s circularity challenges.
Establishing an open innovation ecosystem connecting public authorities, industries, researchers, and citizens.
Promoting experimental and deep tech solutions.
Launching two major funding calls.
ECIV is led by the Government of Navarra (Spain), with partners in Belgium (including SPW Economy and ACR+), the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Finland, UK, and Lithuania. All participating regions are designated Regional Innovation Valleys by the European Commission.
The ACR+ association ensures long-term impact through knowledge transfer, community building, and the ECIV Replication Strategy, which identifies how to scale outcomes beyond the project duration.
