Suitability of the project with the objectives of the call for projects and of
Circular Wallonia
It is important to show how the project fits into the Walloon context and how it contributes, on its own scale, to working towards Wallonia's transition to a more circular and resilient economy. This call for projects must be able to meet the overall objectives of the call for projects (see point 2. Objectives) but must also meet the ambitions of the Circular Wallonia strategy set out above (see point 1. Context).
Economic impact
The project generates economic benefits for companies and partners, and has a wider geographical scope, even for Wallonia as a whole.
Environmental added value
The project demonstrates its environmental added value, saving the use of natural resources, water, direct or indirect energy, etc.
Social added value
The project demonstrates its social added value. The project promotes local employment, enables the training of a specific workforce, enhances local know-how and represents a potential for job creation.
Technical and economic feasibility
The project is technically feasible and within acceptable budgets, given the potential returns expected. These expected results and impacts are clearly shown through realistic qualitative and quantitative indicators.
Territorial anchoring
The project demonstrates its territorial anchorage on a geographical scale that is ambitious, relevant and consistent with its objectives.
Development of synergies/partnerships between industry players
The project demonstrates the development of synergies between players. Partnerships are being created outside the project. These are strongly encouraged, as the circular economy is a complex ecosystem operating with all players in the value chain.
Reliability of the proposed schedule
The project must propose a realistic timetable (service development, design stages, site implementation), taking into account incompressible deadlines and imponderables. In addition, criteria specific to the three project categories will also apply.
When and how to apply? The call for projects will be open from July 20 to September 19, 2021 (before midnight), and the application form must be completed online before midnight on September 19, 2021. The call for projects vade-mecum and FAQs are available online.
